Scotiabank is one of the oldest and most respected Canadian banks. The bank was established in Halifax in 1932. Scotiabank is currently headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. Scotiabank is the second largest Canadian commercial bank, by market capitalization. Scotiabank’s business is truly international, having established presence in close to 50 countries around the world. The Bank of Nova Scotia offers a full range of banking services including retail, corporate, and investment banking. The bank has over 1,000 Canadian branches from coast to coast, and more than 1,400 offices in foreign countries. Scotiabank’s most notable presence is in the Caribbean region and Central and South Americas.

Scotiabank has three main business divisions, which are Domestic Banking – the bank’s commercial banking division, Scotia Capital Inc., which is the bank’s investment arm, International Banking – the bank’s international division. The bank offers deposit accounts, personal and business loans, insurance products, asset management, mutual funds, and other financial services.
